The seven of you got on the first bus that would take you away from Hetalia Academy, not bothering to go to your respective dorms to change out of your uniforms. You all waited until it got to the end of the city because you decided that you would start at that end and then work your way back. By the time you got there, though, your group was the last people on the bus, so you all inevitably stared acting all crazy. At least, most everyone other then you occasionally, and Arthur. He didn't seem like the type who had much fun when he was around others.
Once you got off the bus, Eliza insisted that they would go into all the clothing stores, but that was shot down immediately by everyone else, until Eliza gave them the death glare that said "If you don't listen to me, I'll beat you with my frying pan." So, at the sight of a clothing store, you all went in. In the first store, Eliza said that you would all meet back at the front in like a half hour. After that was said, she grabbed Gilbert and Ludwig and pulled them away, Feli following behind Ludwig like a lost little kitten.
That left you with Alfred and Arthur. The three of you stood there; somewhat awkwardly as you watched the other four run off.
"Well, since we're here, let's have fun." Alfred said and looked at you. "Maybe we can get you to try on some clothes."
You looked at Alfred and your eyes widened. You turned to look at Arthur, he looked positively indifferent. At least, that's what he wants you to think. He wouldn't mind seeing you try on some of these clothes here. But he was too much of a gentleman to actually way anything. You look back at Alfred and feel yourself blush.
"Can I pass?" you ask in a small voice, turning your head away.
"Aw, come on. Not even for the Hero?" He asked and gave you puppy dog eyes.
You tried. You really did try. But you couldn't say no to puppy dog eyes. Especially from a friend that you just made less than two days ago. You found yourself in the dressing room with a few more than four different outfits.
"Do I really have to do this?" You call out, staring at the clothes.
"Yeah! You said you would, so hurry up and show us!" Alfred said.
Arthur wanted to hit him. He was really going to make you, whom he just met yesterday, try on clothes that he picked out, that no doubt, knowing America's taste, would either be revealing, or completely covered with the American Flag one way or another. Moments later, you came out, dressed in something surprisingly tasteful, Arthur thought.
You had on a pair of grey skinny jeans and a black and red striped shirt that clung to your curves. You look at Alfred and Arthur. Arthur was staring wide eyed at you, partly because he didn't expect you to be dressed so tastefully, and partly because, honestly, to him, you looked beautiful. When he caught himself he shook his head and went back to looking normal. Alfred, on the other hand, gave you a thumbs up.
"Well don't you look pretty." He laughed. "Try on another one."
"Uh… can I not? Please? Can we meet up with Eliza and the others now?"
"But you only tried on one! Just one more, pleeeeaaaasssseeee?"
Reluctantly, you went back into the dressing room to try on another outfit.
"Cool it, Hungary. Stop pulling my arm. It hurts." Prussia said.
"Don't call me that just yet. (Name) might still be able to hear us!" Hungary said.
Finally she stopped pulling Prussia's arm. The four of them, Hungary, Germany, Prussia, and Italy, were in the bowels of the store. The far corner with the children's clothes. Some place you would never go to look for clothes.
"Vhy did you bring us all the vay back here?" Prussia asked.
"Ja, Miss Hungary, I am very curious myself." Germany added.
"I came here because I want you two to do something for me." She said.
"What-a about mee!" Italy said.
Hungary looked at him. "I guess you could help, too." She turned back to Germany and Prussia. "I think you should just tell (name) that you two are her older brothers. Screw England and wanting to keep her thinking that she doesn't have siblings. Maybe if she knows you're related to her, England will tell her what she is. Or at least, let us tell her. It's a stretch, but shes here, she seems to be getting along nicely with everyone, we can help her through the shock. Hey, maybe she'll even be happy that she's not an only child."
Prussia thought it over. "I guess. But won't England get mad at us?"
"Even if we do get him mad, America vill probably take da blunt of England's rage." Germany said. "It's either him or France dat takes it."
"Exactly." Hungary said. "So are you going to do it?"
Germany nodded his head. Prussia, however, was a little hesitant, surprisingly, and then he inevitably agreed to it.
"Good. Now come on, let's get back." Hungary said. "And for the love of god, until we get the okay from England to call us by our country names around her, say my real name. Got it? Try not to slip." She glared at Prussia and Italy.
Italy cowered behind Germany and nodded. Prussia remained unfazed. Then the four walked back to the front of the store.
You, Alfred, and Arthur walked back to the front of the store and you already saw Eliza, Gilbert, Ludwig, and Feli standing by the door.
"Ready to go?" Eliza said.
You nodded and you all headed out of the store. As you walked down the street, Eliza and the German brother plus Feli walked a little ways in front and on either side of you were Alfred and Arthur. While walking down the street, Eliza sometimes made you go into stores or just window shopped, looking back at you, questioning if you thought that would be something cool to get. Occasionally you nodded, and other times you thought some of the things she pointed out were kind of weird things to have.
Eventually it got late and you all packed into a bus that went back to the school.
You were about to walk into you building that had your dorm room. Eliza had gone on ahead of you and before you walked in, Alfred and Arthur bid you goodnight and said that they'd both see you tomorrow in class.
That left you with Ludwig and Prussia.
"So, ah, I'll see you tomorrow in class?" You said.
"Um. Yeah. But before you go inside… dere is something ve have to tell you, (name)." Ludwig said. He turned to Gilbert, letting him have the honors of telling you.
"What is it?" You asked.
"Vell, um… (Name) Ludvig and I… vell… ve are your older bruders." He said. "Vhich you should be happy about because you have a brother as awesome as I!" he said, recovering quickly from the confession.
You stare at the two brothers. "Wh-what?" You said completely dumbfounded.
"I'm your bruder." Gilbert repeated. "Und so is Ludvig here."
"So when you said that you haven't seen me since I was a baby… that was true?"
The duo nodded.
"Where have you been all this time then?" You asked.
"Vell, ve vere sent here. Und during the summer, Gilbert vent to Prussia and I vent to Germany." Ludwig said. "To our real homes."
You nodded slowly, not really believing them. "Are you really sure? What's my mom's name then?"
"Easy its, (moms name) (last name)." Ludwig said with little hesitation.
You stare at him in disbelief. "I-it is true… How come you didn't tell me when I first got here?"
"Arthur didn't vant us to tell you. He vanted to, as he put it, protect you from unnecessary shock." Gilbert said.
"He didn't think that I had a right to know that I had brothers?" You ask. While you thought it was sweet of him to try to protect you, you also felt a little mad that he would keep something like this from you.
Gilbert shrugged. "You'd have to ask him that." He looked at his phone for the time. "Vell, it's getting late. Go upstairs and get some sleep." He grinned at you. "Also, look forward to a lot more teasing now that you know." He winked.
Ludwig rolled his eyes. "Gute Nacht, schwester. See you at breakfast in the morning." He said before he walked off to the boys dorm building.
"Good night." You called after him, and then looked at Gilbert.
"Ja. Vat he said." Gilbert said.
Before he left he pulled you into a hug and whispered "süße Träume" in your ear. When he pulled back, he placed a brotherly kiss on your forehead.
"That's from Ludvig und I." he said and started to turn and walk away. "See you tomorrow! The awesome me is out for the night!"
"Good night, Gil." You called after him.
You turned around and walked into the dorm and upstairs to your room. There you saw Eliza in the room sitting on the bed.
"You knew, didn't you?" You asked.
She shrugged. "I figured it'd be best if they told you."
"Well, it was more like Gil told me. Ludwig just stood there kind of awkwardly." You explained.
She giggled. "Well that's Ludi for you." She crawled under her covers. "Go to sleep, Arthur is probably going to be angry in the morning, so you're going to have to calm him down."
"Why me?" You asked.
"Because he won't listen to me, Feli, or your testvérek." She explained. "Doubtful he'll listen to Alfred, either."
You sighed and quickly changed into your pajama's. You crawled into bed. "All right. I'll try. But I might not be able to do anything."
Eliza yawned. "Don't worry, (name), you will, you will."
With that, Eliza drifted off to sleep with you soon behind. That night, you dreamed of what it would be like had you known Gilbert and Ludwig your entire life, and what it would have been like. But the dream was cut short when you found yourself dreaming of something else, or, rather, someone. That someone being Arthur Kirkland.
